These are fics that were written for the alternate universe (AU) of "Frodo's   Harem" which currently finds it's home at Khazaddum.com (see link  below).  Though the premise may sound fanciful, (or other, less   flattering words) many exceptional writers have given their talents to   writing 'harem fics': stories which presume that Frodo was given leave  whilst on the Blessed Isle to have some fair company in the form of   many devoted hobbit lasses.  Frodo's Harem is a place of love and  companionship where the unidentified ladies who care for Frodo could be  any one of us.  For those to whom the harem calls, the stories the ladies tell speak to the heart and heal the soul. Open yours and listen.  Are you a haremite?

I tend to write my gen fics very close to canon.  My Frodo is as close to book Frodo as I can get though I have endowed him with blue eyes (with such an inducement, who can blame me?).  I write him strong, wise, willful and witty, and in some fics, decidedly male.  This is the way I saw him when I read the books and this is the Frodo I fell in love with nearly 30 years ago.  I have no problem with the more effeminate or sickly Frodo that so many seem to like to read and write, but the Frodo I always dreamt about was neither of these things.  He was a worldly wise (for his race) proper little English country gentleman, distinguished if a bit eccentric, set in his ways and all of his 50 years of age.  That is the Frodo I love, and that is the one I write about.

I have been drawing for most of my life but work, responsibility and a lack of good subject matter have kept my pencil quiescent for most of my adult life.  I always intended to take up drawing again when I was old and grey, but how can someone NOT draw Frolijah?  He is one of those strangely captivating subjects that never seems to be quite captured on paper - even I am hard pressed to do it - and that is a challenge I cannot resist.  If you like my artwork, please tell me and I will do more of it.  The only reason I was writing instead was because someone foolishly told me they liked something of mine.

Honestly... what was she thinking?
